Meghan and Brendon are a lovely couple who found their passions in music and each other. They decided to have their Pittsburgh engagement photos taken at the Mr. Smalls Theatre, the first place they went to a concert together.
I love doing photoshoots like theirs because it highlights places, moments, and ways of life most people wouldn’t even think about for their engagement or wedding photos. But then I get the chance to do one of these photoshoots with a great couple, and I know another couple will see what we’ve done and become inspired to do something equally as inspiring. It’s a big part of why I love what I do.
Pittsburgh Engagement Photos Filled With Charm And Lots Of Smiles
Meghan and Brendon are an awesome couple with a playful way about them. They love everything music, even infusing their personal style with rock elements. Their wedding planner recommended my services, they liked my portfolio, and we just clicked during our pre-booking consultation.
They shared so many funny stories during our Pittsburgh engagement photoshoot that I didn’t feel much time had passed at all. Honestly, it felt like I was just hanging out with some friends, which is always a great way to work with your clients.
Speaking of hanging out, those two hang out a lot together at concerts, if you couldn’t tell by now. The Mr. Smalls Theatre ended up becoming a special place to them in this way, so it was an easy choice for their Pittsburgh engagement photos.
To immortalize their love of rock concerts, we set up a photo op in the green room, painted red when we took the photos. Meghan and Brendon took every opportunity to enjoy their time together there. I was glad to capture their joyful energy with their Pittsburgh engagement photos.
The Mr. Smalls Theatre offered many opportunities for some more great shots too. I made use of the dramatic stage lighting and some cool filter effects to make those shots even better. Meghan and Brendon did their thing, holding each other and enjoying their special moments in their special place.
Heading To A Record Shop For Some Final Shots
After the theater, we headed down the street to a local record shop for some more music-themed Pittsburgh engagement photos. It was a nice but fitting change of pace, taking some photos of them in front of and inside the record shop. It just really fit their vibe, and it was exciting to find some new ways to help them express who they are through their pictures.
